Two Months Old

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Holy Moley!  Miss Harper will be two months old on Sunday!  She is growing so fast and is already over 11 lbs.  Pretty soon she’ll be bigger than Toby.  We had to go to the doctor yesterday because she has a little cold virus - stuffy nose and coughing.  She’s really in good spirits even though she probably doesn’t feel good.   She’s starting to smile at Mom and Dad and is really happy to make “baby noises”  (Ohhh, Ahh, Gaa, etc.).  Sometimes she’s quite the chatter box (wonder where she gets that? Amber makes an innocent “Who me?” look.)

She loves to lay in her crib and look at the animals in her mobile.  She loooooves the red bird on the mobile.  She also loves to listen to different types of music.

Here are some updated pictures of our happy little girl.

Visit from Aunt Meredith and Aunt Ashley

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Harper’s Aunts came up for a great visit in the middle of March.  She even got to stay with them while Mom and Dad had a dinner date for Mom’s birthday.

Here’s a picture of all the “Daughtry girls”……

One Month Check Up

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

Harper is one month old! Hard to imagine that just four weeks ago we were in the hospital getting to know the little one.  She had her one month check up today with her doctor.  She’s a very healthy girl and now weighs in at 10lbs and 5 oz.!  She grew to 21 inches long….give or take parts of an inch due to wiggliness.  She’s much more active everyday, but still letting Mom and Dad get a good night’s sleep…..we’re up to 4 hour chunks of time some nights.

We bought a shadow box to put a picture of baby Harper and have an imprint of her foot.  We had extra space in the imprint material to put both her hand and foot.  We realized why they suggested the foot…..it’s much harder to get a 4 week old baby to spread their fingers open!  But, we did it and we now have baby Harper’s hand and foot imprint at 4 weeks old.

Harper also has a new playmate.  Our good friends Phil and Heather had their little girl, Calleigh Mackenzie Elizabeth, last week.  Her website is www.babytorbert.com.  Phil is our photographer friend, so their baby pics are amazing!

And here’s a candid of our crazy little kiddo.  She just cracks us up sometimes!

Looking at Mama!
